  • ONION strengthens its Turin site.
  • In order to strengthen its delivery services towards customers, ONION strongly strengthens its Turin site, by opening new offices located in Via Cibrario. The site is the company core competence center for CRM projects; more over, it delivers E-business solutions for North-West Italy

  • ONION reorganizes to better serve the market.
  • Since March 1st ONION S.p.A. is organized into two Business Units: PROJECTS/ SOLUTIONS and PRODUCTS/ SERVICES. The PROJECTS BU delivers ICT solutions tio support business processes, taking advantage of the best platforms at technology and application levels, as well as proposing system integration solutions; the PRODUCTS BU proposes ASP Services and develops/ markets an E-business suite specifically tailored to SME and SOHO targets.

  • ONION implements a strong growth plan.
  • In the context of a strong company growth, ONION hires 35 ICT professionals, mainly in the "CRM Applications", "E-business Applications" and "E-business technologies" areas. Moreover, central functions get strengthened with new Marketing Manager and HR Manager.

  • ONION activates certification procedures as Remedy Teachers for its experienced Project Managers.

  • ONION performs cut-over of the banking Calla Centre of a regional bank. The Call Centre is in German language and is based on Remedy for Operation management and Novavox as CTI platform.

  • IT Service Management.
  • ONION gets assignment by a Media Blue-Chip to implement HW/ SW procurement processes for both internal staff and sales representatives. The project will be developed with the Remedy platform.

  • Remedy Competence Centre.
  • ONION is asked to perform a performance assessment and to propose a set of corrective actions for Remedy applications developed by third parties in the automotive domain.

  • International Conferences.
  • ONION presents its "Web Testing Master-Class" tutorial in London in co-operation with UNICOM

  • Software Engineering.
  • ONION completes the definition of Architectural Design for a railway system.

  • ONION products: Easy Start.
  • ONION releases Version 2 of the Easystart product, designed for Web marketing and E-commerce B2C. Easystart V2.0 introduces important enhancements including a content management engine and a gateway for Credit Card payment.

  • ONION Services: ONIONNET.
  • An Internet provider proposes to become an ONIONNET reseller; ONIONNET is a service for end-to-end operational testing and is based on the ONION Interprise Platform - Fennec Edition.

  • SAP R/3 Solutions.
  • ONION activates a projects dedicated to the integration of SAP Modules ISU-FI-CA and SD aimed at billing features for services offered to consumers by a major organization.

  • Quality Management for Software Development.
  • ONION is put in charge of the complete review of the QMS for R&D activities of a major TLC multi-national.


  • SAP Reporting for Supply Chain Operations.
  • ONION will define improvement opportunities for SAP reporting as part of Supply Chain Management support for an important telco customer.

  • SAP-based Order Entry with Web interface.
  • ONION releases to a steel-producing customer a solution enabling Web-based order entry with tight integration with SAP R/3 back-end.

  • Software Configuration Management.
  • ONION will deliver Software Configuration Management training for the Italian sites of an important UK company, in the scope of a global software process improvement program.

  • Intranet Solutions as a support to software development.
  • ONION releases to an important customer a complete Intranet solution for the management of quality control for source code, by integrating COTS packages (FlexeLint and Sniff) as well as developing ad-hoc solution.

  • Intranet Solutions for Quality Management Systems.
  • ONION is contracted the development of an Intranet solution supporting QMS deployment for a telco operator; the solution will be based on the E-qms platform.

  • ONION products: Interprise Server.
  • ONION releases to the market the new version of Interprise Web Edition, inclusive of the Small Internet Gateway and Firewall extensions; within short time, also the Interprise List Server Edition will be released, aimed at managing very large mailing lists.
